I'd like to have a way for our online customers to apply a code to their order, which then applies a promotion to the items in their cart.

i commented on this under the ecommerce enhancement requests. This is absolutely necessary and basic for all ecomm sites to allow for special promos online with special codes, or like influencers. We need to drive sales online too!
