This option is already present. Once you open the Manage Product screen, go to the History Tab, and then Customer History. You can adjust the date range above the row of tabs, along with the locations if you have more than one location and corporate controls enabled on the location you are logged into.
We had a customer in and wanted to return a product that we knew she had purchased. It was not under her customer history. When we looked into it further when the manager got back, it was under the same name, but with the middle initial "A". This would be an easy fix that would save us from upset customers from time to time.

The customer purchase history is now available for users that don't have access to costs, but do have access to the products app.
